How to get anonymous messages on WhatsApp
Your WhatsApp contacts know you best. Put your secret message link on your status and see what they really think.
Post your link on your status
- Make your link on Secret Inbox (name, question, colour) and save your recovery key.
- In your inbox, open Share and tap WhatsApp. Pick the text you like first.
- Choose My status, or send it to a group or a friend.
Status texts you can use
- Send me an anonymous message 💌 I will never know it was you.
- Dil ki baat seedha bolo, naam nahi aayega 🤫
- Mere baare mein jo sach mein sochte ho, likh do. Koi naam nahi 💭
- Ask me anything, anonymously 👀

Reply on WhatsApp
- Open a message in your inbox and type your answer.
- Tap Share as story, then WhatsApp text to send the message and your answer as text, or share the picture to your status.
- A private reply stays on Secret Inbox: the sender sees it on their Sent page.
Keep it friendly
- Turn on the word filter in Settings to move hurtful words out of your main list.
- Block a sender in one tap; pause your link when you need a break.
- Report threats from the message screen.
Questions
Will my contacts see my number?
Only the people you already share your status with see your link. People who send you a message never see your number, and you never see theirs.
Can I put the link in a WhatsApp group?
Yes. Everyone in the group can open it and write to you anonymously.
Does it work on any phone?
Yes, it works in any phone browser, including the one inside WhatsApp. No app is needed.
